After the bad times of Chennai Super Kings, it seems that Rajasthan Royals is also in trouble now. Firstly, Suresh Raina has withdrawn himself from IPL 2020, the Australian Fast Bowler Kane Richardson has left due to the birth of his first child and now reports said that Ben Stokes might miss the IPL 2020 UAE season due to some personal reasons.

Stokes is currently in his home in New Zealand to accompany his father who is diagnosed with Brain Cancer.

The 29 years old All- Rounder performed exceptionally well against the West Indies but left the series against Pakistan after only the first Test match. He wanted to be with his family in this crucial situation. After hearing the news of his father’s Brain Cancer diagnosis, Stokes divulged that he wasn’t even able to sleep while on international duty with his England teammates.  After that he decided to go back to New Zealand to his family to give all his intentions to them in this hard time.

“I didn’t sleep for a week and my head wasn’t really in it,” Stoke stated

“He was tough (on me). But as I got older I realised it was all for a reason.

“He knew I wanted to be a professional sportsman and he was drilling that into me as I started to make a career in cricket.

“His reputation sort of speaks for itself. You speak to anyone who knows him, played with him or worked with him, they’d all say the same thing.

“Most people acquire a softer side with age and sometimes with dad that has been quite weird to see.

“What he’s going through has brought that side out as well – we all knew he had it, he just didn’t show it that often.” Stokes spoke about his father.
