The wait for IPL 2021 schedule is over because starting data is announced which is 11 April 2021. Last year the league happened in the last quarter of 2020 due to Pandemic. Update: For the season of Indian Premier League 2022, the Indian Board of Control of Cricket is planning to add one more franchise. According to the resources, the IPL 2022 could feature a ninth team. The main purpose to add a ninth team is to achieve financial goals as BCCI suffered a lot of pecuniary loss due to the Coronavirus lockdown.

IPL 2021 in India or UAE?

The mega event always takes place in India which is the charm of the game. But decision of IPL 2021 is not confirmed yet officially. But we can expect the schedule of the first match on the 11th of April and Final in June in India.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League was held in the United Arab Emirates due to the Coronavirus pandemic and it was a very successful event. For the IPL 2021, BCCI has decided to conduct the tournament in India, but it all depends on the pandemic.

Update: Indian Board of Control of Cricket (BCCI) has just issued a statement that IPL 2021 will be held in India and we will get players vaccinated. As the Covid-19 situation is improving in India, BCCI does not need to consider an overseas venue for hosting the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), disclosed by BCCI official Arun Singh Dhumal.

Auction Results for IPL 2021

To conduct the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, the Indian Board of Control of Cricket is planning to hold a full player auction on 18th February. It will be a mini auction. All franchises already released a number of players who will be available to big in the auction. As of now, BCCI decided to conduct the auction next month on 18th February. Points Table

According to the BCCI Rules and regulations, eight teams will play 60 matches against each other. Every team will play 14 matches against each other and after playing 14 league matches the top 4 teams will go for the qualifier. If the two teams have the same points, then their fate will be decided on the Points Table with the Net Run Rate (NRR).

How to calculate Net Run Rate (NRR)? NRR in any match is the average number of runs that a team scores per over, minus the average number of runs scored against it per over.
