This time, India is the hosting country of the World Cup 2023, and all 48 games, including three knockouts, will be played in various venues in India. This is the first time India has hosted the entire tournament after co-hosting the previous tournaments in 1987 with Pakistan, 1996 with Sri Lanka and Pakistan, and 2011 with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

World Cup 2023 Teams
There are ten teams taking part in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Eight teams are confirmed to play in the tournament – India (Host), England, New Zealand, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
Two more teams will join the World Cup race from the ongoing ODI WC Qualifiers, with Group A comprising Sri Lanka, Scotland, Oman, Ireland, and UAE and Group B comprising Zimbabwe, Netherlands, West Indies, Nepal, and the USA.
A total of ten teams will participate in the World—Cup 2023 Trophy race, similar to the 2019 ODI WC.

The official ODI World Cup 2023 Schedule was released on June 27, Tuesday in an event in Mumbai.
New Zealand and England will open the first game on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India will open up their account against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. The most awaited Pak- India World Cup 2023 match will take place on October 15 in Ahmedabad.
