Caribbean Premier League is all set to hit the stadiums on August 18, 2020. This is a domestic Twenty20 cricket league in West Indies and CPL 2020 is the 8th season of it. Total 33 T20 matches will be played in Trinidad and Tobago.

The tournament will last from August 18 to September 26 and a total of six teams are taking part in CPL 2020. In the West Indies, Caribbean Premier League is a popular tournament. Last year CPL champions were Barbados Tridents who won CPL 19 by defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors.

The format of this championship is just like Indian Premier league (IPL). The first Caribbean Premier League was played in 2013. CPL got players not only from West Indies but from international platforms also.

The Brian Lara Cricket Academy is going to host 23 games. Semi Finals and Finals will also be played here. Ten matches will be played at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain. The CPL 2020 will begin on August 18 and end on September 10
