IPL opening ceremony 2020
Every season IPL host an opening ceremony full of sizzling performances in a well-managed hosted event. The great journey of IPL has started in 2008 and 12 successful seasons completed till now. Every year the ceremony goes live in almost every cricket-loving country. This will broadcast on the following channels – Star Sports 1, Star Sports 1 HD, Star Sports Select 1, Star Sports Select 1 HD (English Commentary), Star Sports 1 Hindi and Star Sports 1 Hindi HD (Hindi commentary). It will also be available on live streaming sites such as Hotstar and Jio.
The cost of the IPL opening ceremony always been controversial. We are seeing a hot discussion on news channels and among social NGOs to put a stop over IPL ceremonies and spend that Taxpayer’s money on something productive. But fingers are crossed for now. We will update the final decision of the Indian Cricket Board about the ceremony.
IPL opening ceremony budget
In 2018 BCCI has spent 15 crores on the opening ceremony and this pattern goes the same every year. Most of that money goes to expensive public figures and celebrities who perform at the event. It seems to be a good strategy to promote the event but spending on a single day is very controversial in the eye of stockholders and NGOs. After researching the past IPL seasons, we have seen the budget is almost the same each season.
Best IPL opening ceremony performances
Varun Dhawan, Hrithik Roshan, and Jacqueline Fernandez are the most famous celebrities you can see around the open ceremony every year. In 2020, the announcement of the ceremony is not coming out yet because of the controversies flooding around the social media and tv channels. We still not sure about the data of the ceremony yet.
The last most remembered 45 minutes ceremony was hosted in 2018 at Wankhede Stadium. It was packed with a sizzling performance, glamour, stars, fun, and entertainment.
The tickets for the ceremony will be available through Bookmyshow as well as on the venue. But it is better to book tickets ASAP to avoid any inconvenience at the last moment.
Who will perform at the IPL Opening Ceremony 2020?
Last year there was no opening ceremony in the memory of soldiers who lost their lives in Pulwama attacks. But in 2018 the opening ceremony was packed with famous performers like Katy Perry, Akon, Pit Bull, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif among many others have performed at the opening ceremony of the tournament.
In 2020, this is most look like the last year because of circulating news and social media hype.
