BPL 2019-20 Schedule, Team Squads, Venues And Tickets

The seventh season of BPL 7 is going to happen early in December 2019-20. Bangladesh Premier League is the top t20 cricket league played domestically in Bangladesh every year. The league will be organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and officially scheduled to start from 5 December 2019 and finale will be played on January 11, 2020.

The Bangabandhu BPL will start with the great opening ceremony on 4 December 2019. In contrast with the previous leagues, this year the tournament will be completely hosted by BCB announced by Nazmul Hassan Papon president of BCB On 11 September 2019

Tournament Rules of 2020 BPL League

The rules have been decided after the mutual agreement between Bangladesh Cricket Board and ICC Cricket Council.

  • According to the agreement, each franchise team squad will consist of a total of 16 Players.
  • Out of 11 playing players, 4 foreign players are allowed to be a part of a team this year.
  • Furthermore, there should be 7 domestic players among 11 (ground players).

BPL 2020  Schedule and Teams List

A total of 7 teams will compete in the league. Chittagong Vikings was announced not to take part in the 7th season and Board thought to replace it with two new teams. But in the final announcement, the decision was reverted back and the teams will remain 7. Below is the list of BPL 2020 final teams.

A total of 46 matches will be played in the following 3 grounds located in Bangladesh.

The Bangabandhu BPL 2020 Match Fixture, Squads

Last year we have seen the famous t20 players in the squad. All teams were in such fine balance and it was overall a great fixture. Do you remember the Rangpur Riders team had‘ Chris Gayle, Mashrafe Mortaza, AB de Villiers, Alex Hales, Ravi Bopara and Oshane Thomas on the list although these are world-class cricketers but unfortunately they were not able to stand against Comilla Victorians and Dhaka Dynamites who have survived the final qualifying round. Dhaka Dynamites succeeded to win the trophy by‘ Shakib Al Hasan, Sunil Narine, Rovmon Powell, Kieron Pollard, and Andre Russell, Nasir Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, David Warner and Sandeep Lamichhane on their side. While Comilla runners up against Dhaka but the players on their side weren’t ordinary.

Salman Fazlur Rehman

He is the Owner of Dhaka Dynamites BPL team. Born in 1951 on May 23rd. He is a famous businessman in Bangladesh. His rank is 1685th among the billionaires of the world, according to the Beijing publication in 2017. He is also a member of Parliament. He is the vice-chairman of the BEXIMCO group. His net worth is US$1.3 billion. Shayan is the son of Salman Fazlur Rehman.

He was a right-arm fast bowler. He played international cricket for Pakistan from 1989 to 2003. In his career, he played 87 Tests and 262 ODI matches. He is a Pakistani Australian cricket coach as well as a commentator. He is also the former captain of the Pakistan National Cricket team.   • Tom Moody was born in 1965 on October 2nd. His full name is Thomas Masson Moody. He was a right-handed batsman. He played international cricket for Australia from 1987 to 1999. In his career, he played 8 test and 76 ODI matches. He is an Australian cricket coach as well as a commentator. He is also a former international cricketer.   • Mohammad Salahuddin was born in 1969 on February 10th. He is a cricket coach of Bangladesh. He is also a former assistant coach of national cricket of Singapore teams as well as Bangladesh. During his domestic cricket, an injury ended his career and then he became a coach in 1997. Many Bangladeshi cricketers consider him a mentor including Shakib Al Hasan, Mominul Haque, Tamim Iqbal, and Mushfiqur Rahim.
